The only way to attract what you want is to STOP focusing your feeling-awareness (thoughts & emotions) on what you don't want. (This is the secret of The Secret.)
Many, most, people have trouble doing that.
One way that works exceedingly well, and, yes, somewhat sadly, because it is NOT always easy and because it DOES require self-control, constancy & consistency— is to stop looking at "What's wrong" in any and all unwanted situations and instead ask, "What's right?"
I know... I know... what's right about losing your job, a death, divorce, being broke, all those "bad" things that happen to good people.
(Take a deep breath... or three.)
There is ALWAYS something "right," and you can think of "right" as good, positive, that's working, desirable... OR "right" in terms of justice: it's fair, responsible, the proper outcome of the Law of Cause and Effect.)
"What's right?" works internally & externally— with your self and with others as well.
Pick a problem... any problem: Not enough money. Relationship "challenged." Facing an impossible deadline. Have to, need to, improve your performance, complete a project, get a new & better job, start or grow your own business... Truly, any "challenge" will do.
1. Ask: "What's right?" about the "current reality," what you have in front of now, where you are... now?
2. Ask: "What makes that right?" and drill down until you get to the essence of what's most important & valuable about it for you.
3. Ask: "What would be ideal?" your vision of the most desirable, "Couldn't be any better" outcome. "Imagine the possibilities."
There's more. Two more questions to be exact. But those three above properly (I.e.; seriously & sincerely) asked and engaged with, will give you a direct experience of shifting your internal and external conversation from destructive to constructive. AND you will experience the flowing, growing creative energy and the powerful positive feeling that comes (every time) with doing that.
And when (with some practice) you can do that any place, anytime, with darn near anything you're facing... you will be FREE. Just imagine what that will be like?

This is an incredibly powerful habit that will help you be more successful in "ALL" areas of your life.
Make it a habit to act "INSTANTLY" the moment a thought that requires action enters your mind.
Here are some examples:
You are listening to your voicemail messages and you hear a message to call someone regarding a fairly important matter.
Rather then waiting until a later time, call the person immediate after you finish listening to your messages. If you are away from home just dial the number from your cell phone.
The important thing is to call the person RIGHT NOW, if they are not in, leave a voice message with a callback number. The ball is now in their court.
You have a friend who just started working out and you know he/she could benefit from a monthly subscription to a fitness magazine.
Go online within minutes from the time you had the thought and do a google search for fitness magazines. Go to the fitness publication web site, pull out your credit card and place a gift order for the person....RIGHT AWAY.
Do you get the idea here?
You are acting immediately on the action thought that entered your mind. You are not even giving yourself a MINUTE to procrastinate.
You are taking instant, decisive action to complete what your creative mind gave you as a task.
Here are some more examples:
You are driving to work and you hear and advertisement for a product that could benefit you.
Pull your car over, get out your cell phone and dial the number that is being announced on your car radio. Do not hesitate....DO IT NOW!
You are on vacation and an idea pops into your head like a light bulb flashing in a dark room. The idea could be about starting a new business, or an idea on how to make your existing business more profitable, or an idea on how improve your home and increase it's value.
Call your home phone or cell phone IMMEDIATELY and leave a voicemail message to yourself describing the idea in detail. If you don't do this immediately YOU WILL FORGET THE IDEA!!
How important is it to ACT in the NOW?
Here is a valuable tip that John Lennon of the Beatles gave George Harrison about how to write great songs.
He said "When you start a new song, don't walk away from it until it is complete. Don't try and come back and finish it on anther day.....complete the song....RIGHT NOW!!"
Why did he say this?
Because he knew that the exact creative moment in time that George was in would never occur again.
You see, George would never be in the same exact mood creatively again as he was that moment in time. It might be raining on another day which would put him in a different mood, he may be in a different room, or a location which has a different vibe.
He may be in the company of a person who makes him feel irritable or anxious. He may have eaten something that made him feel better or worse on another day.
There are literally 1,000's of variables that have a direct affect on your creative mood at any given moment.
You must ACT on intuition IMMEDIATELY!!
Don't miss a potential life changing opportunity.
Act on your action thoughts IMMEDIATELY!!
Regardless of how small the action may seem to you at the time, it's effects on you in the future may be huge.
The bottom line.
Follow your heart and your mind....act on the thought as it enters your mind.

I'm really not sure about what I'm doing here... with this. And that makes me curious, because I'm usually very sure of what I'm doing and what for. So, this is a hold you nose and jump kinda' deal.
I just completed putting up a Web page for the people in The 90-Day Challenge to show & tell them the Action & Accountability Process Questions and explain the design of the process, how it works and what makes it work..
What this is/they are, is a set of questions the people in the Challenge ask & answer their Call Partner Monday through Friday— Monday I'll ask you, Tuesday you ask me, Wednesday I ask again... back & forth, and on & on.
The business of Call Partnership was invented by Dr. Carol McCall and I was first exposed to it in the 90 day follow-up to Carol's Empowerment of Listening Workshop.
You may have done one of those weekend deals where you learned all this neat new stuff and were jacked-up high, then went back home to family & work and somewhere around Thursday you realized you'd forgotten EVERYTHING!
Carol's Call Partner process kept us in the game, practicing and integrating what we'd learned and deepening our understanding and use of the tools & skills she taught us over time. It is a brilliant "model" and I am always surprised nobody else is using it. (That I know of...)
Now, what I did was take Dr. McCall's Call Partner structure and put in what I learned about "The Right Questions." (See this post: 5 Questions that Create "Transformation") Very much like strapping a turbo-charger on the whole deal.
Okay, I can go on & on & on about the Action&Accountability Process, but my "better idea" is to give you the questions to review AND an audio that goes along with it to "walk you through" them, so you learn what they're doing and what makes them work. So... that's here on this Web page:
You'll be able to read the questions, download them in PDF, watch a short video and listen to a 25+ minute recording where I explain each question one-at-a-time.
My intent here is to have you learn as much as you can about this powerful process— outside of actually DOING it (of course).

A man went to his barbershop to have his hair cut and beard trimmed. As
the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation.
They talked about many things
and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of
God, the barber said,
"I don't believe that God exists."
"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.
"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God
doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick
people? Would there be abandoned children?"
"If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things."
The customer thought for a moment but didn't respond because he didn't
want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer
left the shop.
Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with
long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and
unkempt. The customer turned back and went back into the barber shop and
said to the barber,
"You know what? Barbers do not exist."
"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber, and I just worked on you!"
"No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside."
"Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when people do not come to me."
"Exactly!" affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist!"
"That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world. That's
what happens when people do not go to God and don't look to God for
help."

In a conversation with one of my Mentor-Coaching people, she asked me about Life Purpose and how could she go about "finding" hers? My answer is below along with a video I made on the subject I trust will be helpful & valuable.
Now, here's the work to be done and the steps to take to create your written Life Purpose:
1.
Make a list of all your likes and loves in life & work: People,
places, things that you have (or could have, want to have) and do and
ways that you be or want to be that please & excite you.
2. For each one ask: "What does
that provide for me?" OR "Having that (doing that... being that) gives
me _________ (and fill in the blank).
3. Do this until you cannot think of any more.
4. The answers to Q#2 above are your VALUES.
5.
Now go back over your list of Values. Find one that is a "10", which
means "Cannot be any better" or you canNOT live without it. Write down the "10" rating beside that
Value.
6. Now, review the entire list using that first "10" as a standard by which you rate/score all the others.
If
a Value is equal to that first "10," then it's a "10," too. If it's
RRReally important, but NOT quite a "10" rate it a "9" or an "8." Rate
your entire list "against" that "10" standard.
7. Take your Top 10 Values and list them separately on a sheet of paper/computer program.
8.
What you do next is to "create" a paragraph that uses as many of your
Top 10 Values as possible. It MUST include all the "10s" and "9s". If
you want... and it's appropriate, you can includes "8s" as well.
That
paragraph is a "First Draft" of your Life Purpose statement. Do NOT
expect it to be perfect. It's a place to start. Keep working with it
until you can say, "I'm complete with this for now."
An example:
"My Life Purpose is to learn the best ways to live & work with my
power, peace & joy and to teach what I learn to positively
contribute and influence the lives of millions of people for the
highest good of myself and all concerned."
Live with it. Listen
to it. Speak it. Share it. Wear it. Play with it. Edit it. Work on it. AND when
it's a FIT... it's your Life Purpose Statement— for now.
How's that?

The Call was specifically aimed at participants in The 90-Day Challenge to have them get a deeper under-standing & appreciation
of the Call Partner Questions. . .
When I first got involved with writing for network marketing, I
quickly (and fortunately) met Richard Brooke. He sent me a little
booklet titled you2(as in squared) by Dr. Price Pritchett.
To this day it remains one of my top 10 reads of all time. (Amazon has
it for $7.95).
I believe I've published this piece below at least two or three times a year
since I first read it— and I've told the story and retold it more times
than I can remember. And now, I made a recorded reading of it for you.
Enjoy this powerful story from the very beginning of the booklet you2... And please, tell it— yourself and to yourself— again and again.
I’m sitting is a quiet room at the Millcroft Inn, a peaceful little
place hidden back among the pine trees about an hour out of Toronto.
It’s just past noon, late July, and I’m listening to the desperate
sounds of a life-or-death struggle going on just a few feet away.
There’s
a small fly burning out the last of its short life’s energies in a
futile attempt to fly through the glass of the windowpane. The winning
wings tell the poignant story of the fly’s strategy— try harder.
But it’s not working.
The frenzied effort offers no hope for survival. Ironically, the
struggle is part of the trap. It is impossible for the fly to try hard
enough to succeed at breaking through the glass. Nevertheless, this
little insect has staked its life on reaching its goal through raw
effort and determination.
This fly is doomed. It will die there on the windowsill.
Across the room, ten steps away, the door is open. Ten seconds of
flying time and this small creature could reach the outside world it
seeks. With only a fraction of the effort now being wasted, it could be
free of this self-imposed trap. The breakthrough possibility is there.
It would be so easy.
Why doesn’t the fly try another approach, something dramatically
different? How did it get so locked in on the idea that this particular
route, and determined effort, offer the most promise for success? What
logic is there in continuing until death, to seek a breakthrough with
“more of the same?”
No doubt this approach makes sense to the fly. Regrettably, it’s an idea that will kill.
“Trying harder” isn’t necessarily the solution to achieving more. It
may not offer any real promise for getting what you want out of life.
Sometimes, in fact, it’s a big part of the problem.
If you stake your hopes for a breakthrough on trying harder than ever, you may kill your chances for success.

Listen... Someone's life may depend on it. There are many good and great reasons to learn to listen better than most of us do now. Perhaps this short story by a n unknown author will provide you with a compelling one.

We all know what it's like to get that phone call in the middle of the night. This night was no different.
Jerking up to the ringing summons, I focused on the red, illuminated
numbers of my clock. Midnight. Panicky thoughts filled my sleep-dazed
mind as I grabbed the receiver.
"Hello?" My heart pounded, I gripped the phone tighter and eyed my husband, who was now turning to face my side of the bed.
"Mama?" The voice answered. I could hardly hear the whisper over the static. But my thoughts immediately went to my daughter.
When the desperate sound of a young crying voice became clear on the line, I grabbed for my husband and squeezed his wrist.
"Mama,
I know it's late. But don't... don't say anything until I finish. And
before you ask, yes I've been drinking. I nearly ran off the road a few
miles back and..."
I drew in a sharp, shallow breath, released my husband and pressed my
hand against my forehead. Sleep still fogged my mind, and I attempted
to fight back the panic. Something wasn't right.
"... And I got so scared. All I could think of was how it would hurt
you if a policeman came to your door and said I'd been killed. I
want... to come home. I know running away was wrong. I know you've been
worried sick. I should have called you days ago but I was afraid...
afraid...."
Sobs of deep-felt emotion flowed from the receiver and poured into my
heart. Immediately I pictured my daughter's face in my mind, and my
fogged senses seemed to clear, "I think..."
"No! Please let me finish! Please!" She pleaded, not so much in anger,
but in desperation. I paused and tried to think what to say. Before I
could go on, she continued. "I'm pregnant, Mama. I know I shouldn't be
drinking now... especially now, but I'm scared, Mama. So scared!"
The voice broke again, and I bit into my lip, feeling my own eyes fill
with moisture. I looked up at my husband, who sat silently mouthing,
"Who is it?"
I shook my head and when I didn't answer, he jumped up and left the
room, returning seconds later with a portable phone held to his ear.
She must have heard the click in the line because she asked, "Are you
still there? Please don't hang up on me! I need you. I feel so alone."
I clutched the phone and stared at my husband, seeking guidance. "I'm here, I wouldn't hang up," I said.
"I should have told you, Mama. I know I should have told you. But, when
we talk, you just keep telling me what I should do. You read all those
pamphlets on how to talk about sex and all, but all you do is talk. You
don't listen to me. You never let me tell you how I feel. It is as if
my feelings aren't important. Because you're my mother you think you
have all the answers. But sometimes I don't need answers. I just want
someone to listen."
I swallowed the lump in my throat and stared at the
how-to-talk-to-your-kids pamphlets scattered on my nightstand. "I'm
listening," I whispered.
"You know, back there on the road after I got the car under control, I
started thinking about the baby and taking care of it. Then I saw this
phone booth and it was as if I could hear you preaching to me about how
people shouldn't drink and drive. So I called a taxi. I want to come
home."
"That's good honey," I said, relief filling my chest. My husband came
closer, sat down beside me and laced his fingers through mine.
"But you know, I think I can drive now."
"No!" I snapped. My muscles stiffened and I tightened the clasp on my
husband's hand. "Please, wait for the taxi. Don't hang up on me until
the taxi gets there."
"I just want to come home, Mama."
"I know. But do this for your mama. Wait for the taxi, please."
I listened to the silence in fear. When I didn't hear her answer, I bit
into my lip and closed my eyes. Somehow I had to stop her from driving.
"There's the taxi now." Only when I heard someone in the background
asking about a Yellow Cab did I feel my tension easing.
"I'm coming home, Mama." There was a click, and the phone went silent.
Moving from the bed, tears forming in my eyes, I walked out into the
hall and went to stand in my 16 year old daughter's room. My husband
came from behind, wrapped his arms around me and rested his chin on the
top of my head.
I wiped the tears from my cheeks. "We have to learn to listen," I said to him.
He studied me for a second, and then asked, "Do you think she'll ever know she dialed the wrong number?"
I looked at our sleeping daughter, then back at him. "Maybe it wasn't such a wrong number."
"Mom, Dad, what are you doing?" The muffled voice came from under the
covers. I walked over to my daughter, who now sat up staring into the
darkness. "We're practicing," I answered. "Practicing what?" she
mumbled and laid back on the mattress, but her eyes already closed in
slumber.
"Listening," I whispered and brushed a hand over her cheek....

People don’t resist change
Do you think people resist change? … Most people answer with an emphatic: “Yes.”
I don’t think people resist change at all.
To which you might respond: “Well if people don’t resist change, why do most people not change when given reason to change?”
Good question. Here’s my answer: Imagine that you had been doing
something a certain way for a long time and you believed that you were
doing it the right way. Now imagine that I come along and tell you not
to do that way any more. I give you a lot of reasons and I promise a
lot of benefits if you stop doing it your way and start doing it my way.
No matter how persuasive I might be, you and most other people
probably wouldn’t change their behavior. “Okay,” you reply, “that just
proves that people resist change.” Not necessarily. Think about what
I just said.
If you think what you are doing is right and I am
telling you to do something else, what does it sound like I am asking
you to do? … It would seem to you that I was telling you to do
something wrong. Think about that.
We don’t resist doing something new or different—in other words, we don’t resist change. We resist doing what we think is wrong.When
you really get this distinction, you will understand something about
human behavior that most professionals in the training business still
don’t understand.
This is a different way of looking at something I’ve written about
before. Information and motivation do not change behavior because...
Behavior is driven by beliefs.
If you want to change behavior, change
the beliefs that drive any given behavior—such as procrastination,
yelling, etc.—and the behavior will change.
Here’s a real life example. Many managers are reluctant to give
their hourly employees the freedom to make decisions on their own,
despite overwhelming evidence that some of the best ideas in many
companies come from the hourly employees.
If such managers believe they know what needs to be done and the
people they manage do not, then how they manage is right. Asking their
employees to think for themselves is wrong. Change the belief and you
change how a manager manages.
If people were generally resistant to change, then there would be little if anything we could do about it. But
if people don’t change because they believe what they are doing is
right and what you (or others) want is wrong, then we are now in a
position to produce change in individuals and in the world by helping
people realize that their beliefs are not “the truth.” (Can
you see that all political arguments are nothing more than conflicting
beliefs? Consider: Global warming. How to deal with the economy. The
failure in the educational system. Health care.)
How do you know someone’s belief isn’t “the truth”? Because all beliefs are only “a truths,”
the meaning we give to meaningless events. (This becomes experientially
real for people when they use the Lefkoe Belief Process to eliminate a
belief.)
What appears to be widespread resistance to change is
nothing more than people acting consistently with their beliefs. When
people change their beliefs, change occurs naturally and effortlessly.

The core of The 90-Day Challenge (by which I mean the #1 thing that makes it work as a results-getting process) is the "Action&Accountability Process." This is a Monday through Friday "Call Partnership" where participants are matched up with a partner and they do a 15 to 20 minute call with each other every day.
We alternate who asks and answers the prepared set of 16 questions every other day. So, on Monday, I'll ask you the questions and listen to your answers. Tuesday, you'll ask me, and so on. Weekends off for good behavior. <smile>
The questions are designed in a very specific way to engage both the Rational/Analytical and Creative/Intuitive aspects of your mind (left brain/right brain, the Head & the Heart, conscious & subconscious).
What this does is: 1.) Starts out by setting a positive agenda. 2.) Builds creative energy, rather than drains it by focusing on "the problem" (as Einstein noted, "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."). 3.) Allows both sides of our mind to do the job they were naturally intended for (and there's much more to say about that!).
One purpose of The 90-Day Challenge is to "Make Sure You GET the Goals You Set." So, the Action&Accountability Process questions focus on the person's goal. Here's how that goes: (Obviously, questions 1 - 6 came before. Not so obvious, there are more questions after whic deal what what you are committed to dong today & what support you need to do that successfully.)

7. On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being "Couldn't be better!"): How would you rate your success with your goal as of today?
The "goal" of this question is to have people become increasingly aware that no matter where they are in their process... no matter if they're producing the results in terms of numbers or dollars or whatevers... it's all part of the process and even failures are positive accomplishments. When you consistently answer an enthusiastic "10" you know you're there.
8. What's one thing you're doing with your goal that's working... that's really "right"?
Focusing on "What's right... What's working..." takes the attention off the problem/What's wrong and focuses on the positive & productive thoughts & actions that can be leveraged and expanded to achieve more & better results. It builds, rather than drains creative energy. "Thoughts are things." What's best to be focused on?
9. What makes that work so well?
Asking this question opens up the door to understanding "why" what's right IS right, what makes it work. Without this question doing what's right again & again (think "duplicate") is more a matter of luck. Knowledge is NOT power. Understanding is. That's creates lasting wisdom. And, you can feel your energy growing when you give yourself fully to this question.
10. What would your goal be like if it was ideal...?
This is the visionary question. It taps directly into the intuition, imagination & inspiration. It requires a lot of creative energy to work with your dreams without being held back by self-imposed limitations (and the first two questions provide that building energy). Now, you're operating in the realm of "What you don't know you don't know." This is all about what's possible for you to achieve.
11. What's missing, which if it were in place would have your project be ideal?
This is essentially a "What's wrong?" question, but it comes at a stage in the process where you have the energy to deal with it in a positive manner. It's serving the solution and not the problem. Can you "see" and sense the difference? This question also outlines the "holes" in your vision, so you and Creation (more to say about this one, too) know what needs to become manifest to bring about the ideal. Makes sure you get the proper shaped pegs for holes.
12. What will it take for you to have your ideal become real?
In short (and it's not, really), this is the question that leads you to action— more often than not "Inspired Action," because it's born of Vision and not mired-down in fixing the problem. One takes you backwards the other forwards. Can you sense that...? Can you feel the difference...?
So, that's a "taste" (more like a 5 course meal) of what and why I call what we're doing a "Transformational Technology." This is a VERY different way of approaching Goal-Getting that involves both inner and outer actions, giving you a "new & improved" access to your creative energy and, for you fans of The Secret, puts the Law Of Attraction into positive, powerful, productive action.

Back on September 09 (09) I published a video that made by Tony Rush titled The Power of Certainty. I thought it was crisp, clear thinking and a new look at how having certainty made goal-getting a slam dunk. I've never stopped thinking about Tony's message and today I have another, new, take on the matter.
There's obvious power in being certain. Add certainty to your desires, goals, dreams, vision, and... nothing more powerful to engage the Law Of Attraction. Or, is there?
Problem for me was being certain. That would mean a state of mind where you knew beyond a shadow what ever it was that was the object of your affection would come to pass. Thing is, I'm NEVER certain of anything. I mean, there's always the chance of anything happening.
Am I certain the sun will come up tomorrow? Pretty much, but... as said, there's always the chance.
So, certainty isn't really useful for me— least when it comes to adding fuel to my burning desires, 'cause I'm never fully, deeply & completely certain of anything.
But I can be determined.
And when I try on the feeling of certainty— with it's room for doubt, and then slip on determination— with it's maybe it will and maybe it won't, but what the hell, I'm going for it anyway... Determined fits.
I can't be certain— anything could happen.
I can be determined— no matter what.

Posted a great quote yesterday by Richard Brooke and... after I did, I got to thinking about it— asking "The Five Right Questions" an' all. Being an editor by profession (and love and talent...) I couldn't help myself. (And no, I'm not some reinvent the wheels "red" personality who cannot/ will-not do what he's told <smile>) This is different. Here's Richard's original quote:

nothing is in place, and you decide to go for it, anyway, trusting that
by engaging fully in the process you'll learn & experience all you
need to succeed... that's commitment." — Richard B. Brooke
What got my attention was the "you decide" bit. It brought up a story, this (short) story.
Seven birds are sitting on a wire.
Three decide to fly away.
How many are left?
It's a workshop story/question that illustrates the point that even when you "decide," nothing happens until you take action. Still seven birds there UNTIL the three that decided actually fly away.
So, at the risk of offending my mentor/friend, I'm editing the above quote to read:
"When
nothing is in place, and you go for it, anyway, trusting that
by engaging fully in the process you'll learn & experience all you
need to succeed... that's commitment."

Back in October I posted a video titled (by me) Starting Over— How to let go of the past and celebrate your life. It was an "Intervention" with Tony Robins. As a mentor-coach and speaker who does workshops from the stage, it blew me away— way away. The guy (who I never fully appreciated before) is an absolute Master.
Here's another one. The value I get from watching Sir Anthony work is learning more & better how to work with people... the power of changing their/or your state, beliefs, lives... and a "Master Class" in coaching understanding, tools & techniques. AND, a deeper look into the why of me that wants to and can be changed.
Like the former video, it's a wee bit R-rated. So if some language and sexual references are offensive to you, pass on this one. Or, "guts" it through and enjoy the fun-learning.
Oh, another "warning:" It's long and if your ISP is slow, it'll take forever to buffer. Turn it on, turn the sound off, push play, walk away. Then come back in a few hours and watch it uninterrupted. Tedious and it works.
I'm on my third go 'round with this. I keep starting otra vez at the 30 minute mark. So, what are you doing to think & feel & "be seen as" significant, valuable, loveable? Neat!

I really don't know if it's "right" from a marketing/sales pitch point of view. Probably isn't. I do know that it's clean and honest— "sincerious" as I enjoy saying (both sincere & serious). And it's the best I've come up with so far.
Yes, I do believe that you can "transform your life [which includes your work, relationships, health, wealth, etceteras] for the better, forever" in only six-months. And I'm crazy enough to guarantee that for you.
Look, I am NOT a "master" of all this stuff I'm teaching. I AM a helluva' student though. I work at it. Hard. Every day. So I'm probably a few steps ahead of many people.
