Is MLM Craving Success?

Certain to catch some amout of crapolito (from the little minds that tear you in two who live in that "Town Without Pity" Gene Pitney sang about) for this, but... I'm intrigued, impressed and inspired by what Art Jonak is up to with his new VitaMark product "Crave" and his "tested advertising" approach on YouTube. Trust the big minds (unafraid of mentioning other companies and their leaders) here will be, too. Hence, this below from my email conversation with Art.

Art and his people are doing a phenominal job with this mlm product video. It's the #13th Most Linked Video on YouTube (This Month) in Science & Technology! Heart and wallet-warming evidence of the power of video, mlm network marketing, and the professional power of both.

One of the big rules of successful marketing is:

1. Find a thirsty crowd.
2. Offer them what they are thirsty for!

(versus creating a product and then trying to create a demand for the product)

So we decided to test and see how “thirsty” people were for a product like Crave Energy Drink.

We created a short 1 minute video and put it up on YouTube. Here’s what’s happening right now:

Right now The Crave Energy video is being viewed around 1000 TIMES PER HOUR!
#33 Most Viewed Video on YouTube (This Month) - Science & Technology

14,987 websites / blogs have linked to the Crave Energy Video!

Here’s another interesting twist:

Looks like our market testing is creating even better good news than we expected!

After just this short market test, it seems like there is a HUGE
DEMAND for this product. And that will make it easier for everyone on our team to share it with ease!

OK... time to go get more data from other A/B testing and market testing we are doing.

As I have been saying, It's Time... for Network Marketing. The most remarkable form of free enterprise ever created to go beyond being accepted to being truly admired. A heart-felt hat-tip to Art Jonak for doing more than his part for making that a reality.

Yeah, J... but... technical term here... it's sh*t.

Howso? Simple: an MTV-type pitch featuring technobeat soundtrack with 'it makes you move' is of limited appeal - even to gen y-ers. There are far more intelligent ways in which the medium can be and is being utilized.

Even worse, and an example of the moronic and manipulative nature of the underlying mentality is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpOwVliJh0Q from Jonak.

Firmly in 'dude, where's my brain' territory, it's just another example of the smug and self-reverential behavior which characterizes far too much of this business and thereby restricts appeal to a wider market.

I may of course be wrong... were I to sit through the whole nine minutes, perhaps the initial behavior which is blatantly deceptive might be re-focused and the thing shown to be a good-humored spoof.

Lo-brow stuff, fit only for non-thinkers, this latter example has absolutely nothing which is remotely 'admirable, authentic, intelligent'. It's seasoned pros drinking their own kool aid and cynically exploiting the less-able. So, how the hell is Jonak doing 'more than his part'?

Something of which I want no part, anybody want to buy Upline? If this genuinely is the best we can do, I want out of the business.
